So, I've been browsing the exchange looking for a Busse to add back into the folder. You know the one, the perfect one right? Nothin' too big, nothin' too small. That's when I realized that, well, I miss my SAR5.
The blade length, shape, it's a great knife. I think what I like most is the height of the blade mixed with the lack of choil. It's compared to the RMD quite a bit but the SAR5 rides higher on the belt, something I like.
Sorry Jerry, damn fine blade ya made there in your drunken stupor! :D

I like the SAR 5 :o

They have a great feel and would be a pretty good bushcrafter knife

Nice score

"They have a great feel . . . " . . . . . This is true. . . as long as you like holding baseball bats from the wrong end!!!!

HA!!!

Fine, for all of you that don't like the SAR 5 and have one, I'll take them off your hands for "disposal"

I like em' :D

I personally dig my SAR5 as well and own 2 as well as 2 SAR4s. The SAR4 is prettier, no doubt, but the SAR5 is a great all around utility knife. I think that at least a couple times a year everyone should pitch in for a couple bottles of hootch, ship it to Jerry and see what pops out. I would think that the end product, no matter how "homely" would still sell like blow at a Sheen party.

I would love to try one out. Looks like a very useful knife design. I can always change the shape of the scales to suit me a bit more if needed!

Hammer-handle. A bit of sandpaper makes it all better. :) Great overall shape. Bad CNC on the handle material. We'll forgive your mistake and thank you for it, Jerry. ;)

I didn't mind it so much, but the design is just inherently dangerous.

The tapered handle shooting your hand towards the smooth ramp onto the blade is just begging for an accident.
