as I mentioned before I've been out the knife scene for a while and see there are a load of new, very different designs! One being the sarsquatch, what was the original info on this one and what do you guys think of it ?

They were a Blade 2008 release; in general, they seem to have been well received. It came in a special 2008 Competition Finish as well as black and tan versions:

wicked - you're a legend mate !

Great pics, what are your thoughts on the blade !

It's my favourite design, but I've never used my SARsquatch (only to cut a pumpkin). It's in my collection (collection..., a such hawfull word for knives).

My everyday carry knife is the GameWarden.
I love choppers with heavy blades. The SARsquatch is certainly fast, but I would prefer it with a thicker blade. I love my CG ASH-1 (but It's a little short). I love my Ratweiler (but it's not INFI).

If you never used it, how would you know? The Ash 1 doesnt out perform the squatch on anything, except lateral strength and batoning, its too thick for its length, which in turn makes it stronger but way less functionable. I fixed that for you, your pictures on previous threads show a chopweiler. The sarsquatch is awesome, heads and tails better than an Ash1, I have several of each and have used both extensively, get a squatch before the price of them skyrockets.;)

Hi Greg,

You're right it's just supposition : because in the past I have used a few knives with approximatively the same weight, size and thickness, and I know that for my needs I prefer heavy blades (and if possible a bit longer).

I have this choice to make :
  1. Or I use my SARsquatch and I keep it.
  2. Or I don't use my SARsquatch and I sell it to buy a MOASH, a Standard FSH, a HOGFSH, or YOUR wonderfull FBM CG.

The sarsquatch is by far the most useful Busse I have, although Im almost sure (I don't have one:() a staight handled SJ would takes its place as my most useful user. Its size, shape, and weight look most handy as a backpackers tool. Alas, I won't spend want seller's want, so I bought two CE sarsquatches, one just in case I lose my current user, you may regret not using yours coupchox, a lot, thats what I was getting at. If weight isn't a concern look for a HHFSH.

And of course the king of kings in my book for its incredibly perfect size, blade shape, and weight... INFI or not... the original Rattweiler! I love this thing.

I know you asked for sarsquatch thoughts but it gets a lot of competition at my house.

thank you Greg. I know but Life is choice.

In the past I had more than 200 knives. I don't care about collection now.

I have a few robust khukuries, a few good knives, 4 sharp axes, and my ColdSteel shovel (a cheap but super tool). Users, users, users. That's enough.

You,re not MY Greg :)

Ha ha, mags very nice, this gets even stranger because that picture with the rug and the hhfsh and squatch (that's voxhogs rug, I know it anywhere) that HHFSH is my HHFSH that I bought from him, used, I think that picture was taken before he used it. I agree with your stance on only having users, its seems a shame to have something so useful just sit in a drawer or safe. My FFBM LE is definately one of those.:barf::rolleyes:

+1. The ASH1 is short and fat. :thumbdn: I passed on my HOG knife for that reason. No Regrets.

I may have to pick up another CE Squatch while the market is soft.

It depends. For me ASH-1 are superbs. They are unbelievably powerful knives for their size.

ASH-1 : No Regrets.
