I know back-to-back-Bakelite might be a little much for some folks, but this was for a customer to pick up at the Ohio Classic, and I thought I might pass it along.
He wanted a blade from one of my knife styles, a handle profile from another, and a hot blued "S" guard.
Here's what we ended up with:

keep that bakelite coming Karl! I love that stuff when you use it for knife handles.
And that s guard, man! Fantastic.
You've been posting lots of pics lately, and I have to say that this is my most favorite in recent memory. Please keep in mind I've had the exact thought before- damn that short term memory loss!
What were we talking about again?
:)

No apologies needed - that's a good looking knife and precisely what your customer wanted.

I really love that handle shape- no matter what the material.

Great stuff as usual Karl!

No need to be sorry for the bakelike,as you made a knife the way the customer wanted, and THAT is great!!

Looks good to me. I like to see different handle materials, even the man made stuff has its purpose.
