O k, didnt mean to step on anyones toes here,in my cheap katanas post.
i dont mean your snobs if you disagree with me, only meant I wanted info on functionality and not gripes about a hilt being wrapped in nylon instead of the original threaded guts of your first slain enemy:jerkit: ;) :D
Ialso seriously collect. I have a wwii luftwaffe officers sword. one like it can be seen at. www.johnnyg.westhost.com/swords.html1095 It is in good shape except one of the round swastikas on the pommel is missing. will this greatly affect value and is 1095 value stated on this site accurate .

thanks for all your useful posts on my other thread I encountered no sword snobs there. :D

i held the blade in trembling hands,prepared to make it but;
just then the phone rang,
I never had the nerve to make the final cut

good detailed close-up and overall photos are probably a must... I don't know much about how Bladeforums works but I think if you have a free external image host you should be fine. Try imageshack.us (no reg needed, but if you want to save the image address you have to copy+paste). There are several others.

Feel free to post it at Swordforum too. I'm sure someone can help you in the Military Swords forum.

Trying to find out if the blade is nonmagnetic, if it rusts/oxidizes (i.e. is non-stainless) and perhaps if the guard is cast or hand-worked all come into the value of the blade. Unprofessional restoration (more destruction usually) also reduces the value as seen in quite a few spoils from World War II.

unfortunately I am not internet savvy and will attempt to upload photos ,otherwise it is exactly like the one in the link i tryed to insert but failed.

she stood in the doorway,a ghost ofa smile
haunting her face,
like a cheap motel sign.
Her cold eyes imploring the men in their macks,
for the gold in their bags or the knifes in their backs.

some reason not allowed to pm, though will attempt to borrow dig camera thanks for the offer.

still the dark stain spreads between theyre shoulder blades,a mute reminder of the poppy fields and graves,
and when the fight was over we spent what they had made, but
...in the bottom of our hearts we felt the final cut

I believe that you must be a paying member, at least a Gold Member, to use the PM system. The cost is not much for the pleasure thet BladeForums provides.
