so im waitign to hear back from my crucible rep
looks like i just got done paying $100 a piece for 2 bars of cpm154 1.5x36x 1/8 thick and no there not P ground just HRA
it was part of an order i had made before for cpm154 .109 thick 2'x3' so i know what i paied for that size sheet and to make up the difference with the 2 bars it came out to 2x as much as i could get from pops

i was told steel had not gone up much and couldnt believe it
so can i get a who you call and what price your gettign by the pound /or price for bar stock
jsut got email back and was told i paid $21 a Lb so is ther any place i can do better

Something doesn't match up at $100 for a 3 ft. x 1-1/2 x 1/8. and a rate of $21.00 per lb. The $21.00 per lb. is in range for non-precision or non-Madison ground CPM 154
according to Admiral Steel's blade steel listings, CPM 154 runs 0.81 lb per lineal foot in 1/8 x 1-1/2, so 3 ft weighs approx. 2.4 lbs.....
So at $21.00 per lb you ought to pay a total of approx. a bit less than $100.00 for 6 lineal feet of 1-1/2" x 1/8".
If you haven't seen the steel yet, maybe your rep at Crucible may have misquoted at the 6 ft. per piece rather than the price for a 3 ft. piece.
I'd definitely recontact your Crucible rep. Something is wrong.

seems that its $81 per 1.5x36x 1/8
and to think pops had some at the knife show for $46 dont i feel dumb for cutting out the middle man
i paid less then that fro P ground a few months back in 3/16
now you can understand why im pissed
