Sorta Kershaw related question

I noticed the new Bradley butterfly knife is to have a blade of 13c26 Sanvik steel.

Since Kershaw seems to be the major US maker using the steel, as well as having the ability to manufacture knives requiring the tolerances/precision of a good butterfly knife, I was wondering if Kershaw is making the knife for Bradley.

Any info?

In a word NOPE.

Bradley has a very close relationship with Benchmade. As for the 13c26, lots of companies and some custom makers use it. I know for a fact that Dan Koster and BRKT use it.

Finally, Kershaw is in the process of closing out 13c26 b/c they are switching over the Kershaw exclusive 14c28N.

Doesn't look Benchmade. The pin structure shown would be out of the norm for them.

The Alias is manufactured by BM and I assume the Mayhem is as well. Esp. considering there aren't too many companies making Balis these days. Check the link below

Check the latch and the pocket clip on the BM

Look at the same on the Bradley (they are very similar)

I have also noticed that at NGK the Bradleys and the BMs are in the same case and the Bradley box is exactly the same as the BM box.... pretty compelling stuff. If you keep digging and come up with a definitive source post it here. I don't think it is any big secret I just don't have a citation for it. Hope all this has helped.

Yes, I own examples of the Alias and Mayhem. These knives show design traits common to other Benchmade products (thickness of the Ti, framelock geometry, the ZEN pins, the anodizing, etc.). Since the new Bradley is apparently made to keep costs down, I would expect to see at least commonality of the pins.

I don't really keep up with the Bradley line. I would be interested in seeing some pics of this new Bali. You have any pics or a link? I am always interested in new stuff.:D

It is also possible that they have found a new supplier. I can say that if it is Kershaw I will eat my hat;).

I dunno who made it, but it is a pretty sweet looking blade.

Maybe some will pass through with a little more info later.

Nice looking grind on the blade of that new Bradley. Looks very different than most of the balis' I've seen.
Looks like a really solid build too.
Check out the size of the pivots compared to the Benchmade Bradley. The new one's pivots look huge!

C'mon Coach!! Say it's so!!!

1- I'll buy one.
2- I wanna see Luca eat his hat!! :D

I hope Kershaw didn't make it b/c
1- I don't want to have to lose a finger while trying to learn how to manipulate one of those things:eek:
2- I like my hat. I just bought it last week:p
