On Science of Survival last night they were in the Amazon Rain Forest and the survival expert was using some kind of long curved blade which i believe was called a Perang. Did any one see the show, if so can you help me out because i was looking into buying one.

I watched that episode & to me the blade looked more like a bolo than a parang (but I'm not SF and I don't play SF on TV). For "real deal" parangs check this out. http://www.valiantco.com/borneo.html
