You have awoken in a darkened room which seems strangely familiar? After peering out of a small window you conclude that there are no signs of life...at least not human. Something is out there...

A video camera by your bed confirms that your loved ones have perished, and if you are to stand any chance of surviving you need to escape.

Luckily your bug out bag is present, rations for 15 days and a Ruger Mini 14/Sig P262 for offense. There is a laptop on a desk in the room, it contains every music album ever created, connected to it is an mp3 player with space for 20 tracks

Question
Which 20 tracks do you choose?

They did not perish, it was the rapture, they are saved you are not. . . .I suggest Amazing Grace, How Great thou Art . . . .

The first thing you should do is find the true meaning of the word apocalypse. It doesn't mean what you think it means.
Of course, you can make it mean anything you want.

Anyway, I suggest Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. That little tune always cheers me up.

This, twenty times on the CD:

Best music for EOTWAWKI buggin' out. For all the nasty zombie gun battles I get in, I'll just fast-forward to 3:18.

Nice choices

You WILL find that there is nothing wrong with my use of the word, what is incorrect is your misinterpretation of the implied meaning ;)

I'd only need eight songs.

The entirety of Between the Buried and Me's album Colors.

The Mini 14 would suck enough, but what's a Sig P262?

Perhaps you should stick to playing with knives?

I think you're forgetting something - The Apocalypse already has a soundtrack...

Perhaps you should first play with a dictionary then.

a dictionary will not define '226' nor will it correct typo's
it will tell you 'apocalypse' can be used to generically describe an end of world scenario
and in the hands of someone that knows how to use it little difference between a Mini 14 and a base M4/semi variant

pretty sure music wouldn't be a priority if everyone I cared about was killed/dead

A lot of Mastodon, For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica, Genesis by Justice, In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins, rest would be white noise so I could drown out the howls of the flesh-hungry masses.

Why should you care? You're already both dead and not dead.
(not everybody has to look up what Schrodinger's cat is)

You really think there isn't much difference between a Mini 14 and a M4?

ask the guy shot (or not ;) ) with one...

some might say the mini is better, based on the M1 Garand (and by default, the M14)
me, I prefer my M1a (Match)
but I would not feel under-armed with a mini 14 with some good mags, sights and ammo

The albums, "Those who tell the truth will die, those who tell the truth will live forever" by Explosions in the sky

and the album "F♯ A♯" by Godspeed you! black emperor

This is the intro, tell me its not the Apocalypse
