Well, I was lucky enough to get a fair amount of Charlows from Charlie when they first came out. Over time I realized that I had too many, and only carried one. Looking over multiples, I finally narrowed it down to two models I would keep, the ebony spear point with a long pull that I had been carrying, and the two blade spear point long pull with antique sawcut bone scales. It even has the triple P symbol on it   :D. I had a couple of soup bone spear point long pulls that were seconds, I could find no reason for their designation as seconds.

Looking over all of these Charlow pics I see quite a few soup bone models. I've been chomping at the bit, hoping in my pea brain that I put one aside for myself, no luck. Which models were offered with soup bone scales? Just spear points, clip points also? Were long nail nicks offered, or half moon nicks also?

Share your pics to add to my frenzy ;)...

I have a Day's Work model in soup bone, and a long-pull spear in pre-soup bone (inside out saw cut bone is what the tube reads). Thanks Charlie!

I know they made a long pull sheepsfoot as well.

Absolutely love soup bone covers and hope to one day own one.

I think everybody should at sometime in there life own at least "1" Soup Bone just to see there dream come true.!** Yep.

After just recently joining and seeing all these pics of these "Charlows", I have to say I'm hooked. Barlows have always been special to me as they are all my grandfather carried. I remember always being fascinated by watching him use his. I just don't see many barlows being made out there anymore, but Charlie and GEC struck gold with these. I've yet to get hold of one, but I'm hoping I can find one soon. Thanks guys for sharing your pics. They truly are something special.

The Soup Bone TC Barlow with sheepsfoot long pull is my grail knife I am shooting for someday. As Charlie said...wait and all good things come to pass in time.

I suspect soup bone will be back, but not until next year! 3rd cut stag kinda stole its thunder!
