Well I finally got it back from Joe Zemitis, actually Joe has had it finished for some time and the knife has been waiting for his wife to find the time to do the scrimshaw.
The handle has been shaped out of one solid block of micarta, its almost a bone color, the black spacer is Australian Buffalo.

I was told what tribe the old fella was from in the scrimshaw.
The name is half a foot long anyhow so I had no hope of remembering it. :D

Here’s some pictures of it. Its almost too pretty to get it covered in blood and fur. :D

It's hard to imagine my Howler could look like that one! Now let's see if it still can do some dirty work.

Thanks for the comments fellas. I’m glad you like it. Joe Zemitis customs are my other love in life besides the Busses and RAT’s.

He phoned me yesterday while I was on the road to let me know it was finished. Traditionally I always take an armful of new knives with me for him to have a look at. I was unable to do that yesterday.

But I will still catch up with him later with some newbie’s.:D

Wow! that's pretty sweet! I really like what he did to it. :D

Very beautiful and interesting -the handle, is it two piece of micarta pressed around the tang or one piece with it's inside hallowed out ??

The tang has been fitted into a solid piece of micarta.
