Any sour candy afficionados here? There was a sour candy I loved as a kid but can't find anymore. Multiple flavors, came in a lifesaver-type package.

Recently, I discovered Altoids sours, the lemon (good) and tangerine (awesome). Any recommendations for an good-tasting sour that's not too sweet?

Joe

Love those tangerine Altoids :D

Have you tried the new ginger flavored ones?

Lemonheads are pretty good sour candy as well.

Tangerine Altoids are awesome, the lemon ones I tried 1st and thought were great UNTILL I tried the tangerine flavor now can't get enough of them. If you want something to really twist your mouth up pick up some of that squeeze sour candy that come in a tube like toothpaste, they have it around most checkout counters in convenience stores, that stuff will make your ears hurt it's so sour.

The Atomic Sourballs, by the makers of Atomic Warheads, have a brief but intense blast of pucker power. Better for entertainment purposes, wagers, and various adolescent challenges between 30-something guys than eating for enjoyment, though...;)

Ohh Tangerine Altoids. That candy kicks butt!

The most sour candy ever is Japanese Super Lemons. I've given them to sour candy afficionados and they've scrunched their faces and spit it out! LOL.

I think I've had the Super Lemons before. I'm not much a fan of sour candy though, because the sourness and food coloring (yellow) give me geographic tongue (little white spots on the tongue).

Although not as sour as most here, I don't leave the house without a small pack of Sour Patch Kids :)

LOCKJAW sour gumballs! The are so sour they make you damn jaw lock up as a reaction if your not used to them

I enjoy my sour in liquid form - a nice whiskey or scotch sour! Oh! wait a minute, I misunderstood. I remember as a kid having a powdered tart/sour candy (different flavors) that came in a packet. I believe it was called "Lick-em-ade" or something like that.

UUmmmm Wiskey Sour!!! Now we are talking. I bet I have drank at least 3000 wiskey sours in the last 5 years. It's one of the few drinks I don't get sick of. Never had a Scotch sour, I will have to try that

I downed 17 scotch sours at a Christmas Party one year. When the party broke up, I hopped in the car & followed the red tail lights of whatever car was in front of me! About halfway home, was stopped in a line of cars at a drunk checkpoint! I took out my wallet & 'kissed' my license good-bye! Just as I got 3 cars away from getting checked, they let traffic flow again! I have not driven impaired ever since & kept my sours at home! They sure are good! :D

I have a very sweet-tooth. That is to say I love sweets (candy)
There are these 'dummy' type sweets that for whatever reason a batch from my local newsagents was over-coated in the sour sugar. Eat four or five dummies and your tongue would hurt - very more-ish though. You had to finish the whole bag (about 10-15 dummies for £0.40)

Fantastic!

I'm going to the sweetshop on the way to work tomorrow!

Al :D

Joe--does the name "Adams" sound right? I remember them, especially the sour cherry, but I think they also had a mix package, and they were about that size....

I love Lemonheads !

I've gotta hunt down some of the Tangerine Altoids.

I prefer my vodka sours. When I was in Australia, they had a great bottled vodka sour called Lemon Rusky. I wish they'd export to the US...

As for the candy, I've always loved sour patch kids. Recently I found sour watermelon slices. Those are really good too.

Anybody like "hot" candy? I'm a big fan of Hot Tamale kind of stuff and recently found some licorice that has the same flavor but is a whole lot hotter.

I used to love fireballs as a kid. Need to find some more...
