Source for bronze pins?

I'm making some knives for some wooden boat enthusiasts and thought it would be fun to use materials traditonally found on wooden boats. I got some teak for the scales and silicon bronze for bolsters but I can't find bronze rods that are skinny enough. Any ideas for a source or an appropriate alternative material? Mosaic pins with lots of copper?

Also - how does one get a blood blister dead center of the palm? No I don't want one. I can't figure out how I got the one I have.

I toured a foundry that does bronze casting. They make and use their welding rods out of the same bronze. Maybe you can contact one in your area?

I wouldn't know if it's the same metal but I see bronze welding rod all the time at Home Depot. Good luck, nice touches.
