I'm new to knives and daggers and such and was wondering where I would go to find quality Chinese-style daggers. They don't have to be Chinese-made, but I'd like them to function similar to these:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Go down to Chinatown or the nearest one you can find. Look for a shop that sells Chinese martial arts stuff. Ask around.
Some are pretty good.

Failing which, show a sample to a knifemaker and ask him to make one for you.

Hello people!

This is the first time I post a message in Bladeforums. I am sure we will meet quite often from now on :)

Anyway, I found this topic interest, and wound like to humbly consult Mr. Spikeymikey: what exactly is the difference between a Western dagger and a Chinese dagger? Does a Chinese dagger have any distinctive functionality, or design?

I would be most grateful if you would kindly show a picture of one.

Thanks for the input everyone. As I said, I'm new to all of this, so perhaps my question seems a bit silly. Rattler, I don't believe there are any functional differences between Western and Chinese daggers. I posted a pic of a pair of Chinese daggers in my initial post.

Thus, now I'm open to looking at daggers in general. Browsing through the forum, the Cuda Maxx Stiletto looks nice. Though I'm still learning about the quality differences between the various price points. I think I found the Cuda Maxx Stiletto for around $160 each. Since I need 2 of them, that's at least $320. I'm still trying to figure out whether I should spend that type of money.

Again, thanks everyone.
