Source for ivory carved eggs?

Hi,

My dad collects eggs carved out of minerals, and I'd like to get him an egg carved out of mastodon or walrus ivory. Anyone ever seen something like that?

I've seen a good few jade eggs and some in what appeared to be ivory (given the price I doubt it was plastic ) in a few places over here.
There were plain eggs and ones with Chinese style landscapes carved into them, the carved landscape ones were rather spendy though.

Well, the only place i've seen this was in Hong-Kong.

Since it is ivory they need a certificate for exportation and other stuff. You might wanna try to a google search for ivory shop hong-kong, I know a few of them will ship to North America.


Or as a last resort a quick fly to Hong-Kong
