I have a project I am working on and am trying to find a 1" Round by 1/8 - 1-4 Thick Ivory spacers to go between Wrought Iron and IronWood on a hidden tang handle. any directions would be greatly appreciated

PM me your address and I'll send you some ivory. Would you prefer walrus or mammoth?

Greg that is a very generous offer! PM sent, maybe we can work out a trade of some sort...

Old piano keys are nice if they can be found. They are a nice thickness and work well as accents for handles.

Check any old pianos you see lying about they may prove to be gold.

Hey Jason, Jonny saw a photo of the the knife! he loved the handle hated the Blade :D (I Kid)

Thanks Fred, I will look around for some old pianos. I have always wondered about this. is the ivory on piano keys just the thin part on top of wood, or do they wrap the entire wood piece with ivory on each key?

William I don't know that I have ever seen a shirt with Real ivory buttons, Esp. 1" buttons? I will keep an eye open for that as well, it would definitely work.

I think Greg has me hooked up and should be set in this search. Thanks Greg and everyone for your input.

Sent the piece off today, First Class mail. The machine said 3 days delivery time... but this is the season to be patient, so hang tight. :)

If you wan legal elephant ivory spacer material, i would try cuecomponents.com. Joe has been in the custom pool cue supply biz for a long time and has amassed quite a collection of cool stuff.

On my mom's 1895 Upright the tops are laminated Ivory. Not the sides. fyi

Would you even be able to tell if it were real ivory rather than the micarta fake ivory? Such a little bit would show. But then it wouldn't be IVORY, and all that it implies.
