Where/how may one buy Kershaws in bulk for resale? What is the markdown? Is each deal for, say, 50 damascus leeks individually negotiated?

Forgive me if this is a verboten question.

Try Blue Ridge Knives

or

Moteng

Kershaw sells to wholesalers/distributors who in turn sell to dealers. I think most require a business license and a minimum order. The minimum for Blue Ridge is $1000. Some of the others may have a better idea of how this works. Hang tight and I am sure either Thomas or someone will get back to you.

My understanding has always been that you have to have a legitimate store front to be a dealer.

if you are purchasing for the purpose of resale then kershaw will only sell to you if you have a storefront or are a distributor. however if you are purchasing in bulk for personal use or corporate gifts or something you can just order from the catalog. at least i think so. there is a list of prices and volume discounts in the middle of the catalog. send a request for one on the kershaw website.

I use to buy in bulk for me and friends who where collectors from Double 8, Blue Ridge, US Knife, Compass Inds, and another big one whose name escapes me now. They mostly start off at 50% off list ( a very high number is used as list) and they then give additional reductions at different minium perchase points, such as another 5% off after a $1,000 level is hit. For the last 10+ years they have started to ask for resale licenses and or your business license. You can get these easliy in NY at least, but it requires quarterly sales tax filings and a few other things. Hope that helps.....

We do sell dealer direct (storefront needed), and also have wholesalers nationwide to assist with distribution to the mid and smaller sized retailers.
