Hi all! Does anyone know of a source of laha in the USA? Is it available through Himalayan Imports?
I'm making some handles and I don't want to use commerically made epoxis.

I honestly have no idea.

But you should ask Dan Koster and Terry Sisco what they use.

Thought it was pine resin, charcoal and powdered dung. But I didn't search and am not positive.

have fun.

The pine pitch/resin and charcoal will do fine according too what I was reading about this somewhere just a few days ago, you don't need the powdered dung.;) :) You also might check out Tim Lively and Tai Goo the guys using the primitive way too make some really wonderful and beautiful knives.
I don't know for sure about Tai Goo but Tim Lively doesn't use any electrical powered tools at all and hasn't for quite a long time now. When you buy a knife from Tim you know it is *Hand Made!!!!* ;) :D
