Source for Leather Axe Sheath?

I'd try Walkbyfaith777 (just google it, to find their website/shop). They make custom ones for hawks, you could check whether they'd make you one for an axe.

Have you considered making your own? There are many simple designs that you could adopt.

TO answer your question, Badger Claw Leather works does amazing work.

Off the shelf stuff is available from Harry Epstein. Also, Ben Meadows and others carry Weaver Leather sheaths. Weavers are full welt. Herry Epstein is not. But HE covers the whole axe while Weavers single bit sheath just covers the bit.

I ran into this problem. Cost was going to be crazy as i need 20 plus of them. I bought a kit from Amazon and some snaps from Wal-Mart. I made one and it's serviceable but looks like crap. I will start a thread with the next one like all my other new guy trying to not embarrass myself threads.

Harry Epstein sheaths look nice! Very reasonably priced and Made in USA. I also found Nupla brand, Made in Mexico.
All of these are $8 to $12. Thanks for all the info.

Go to the sheath making sub forum and ask around there. They have lots of good info to learn from, as some of them do leather work for a living.
