Source for non-standard size brass washers?

I'm replacing the stock nylon/Delrin/sythetic whatever washers in one of my folders with brass to smooth up the action. Good ol' Home Depot had some that fit the inner diameter around the pivot (.250") and I was able to sand down the thickness to the proper dimension (.029-.030") but the OD is too small. A larger OD (~.625") would help to center the blade against the detent pressure. It currently sits slightly off-angle to the frame.

Anyone know a good source for these?

In the past when I've needed something like this I've just made my own. Start with brass shim stock, drill (clamp it between two pieces of hard wood before drilling so you don't have problems with burrs), then layout your washer around the hole. Quick, easy, cheap. Any local machine shop should be able to tell you where to find shimstock in the thickness you need.

Makers , the good ones anyway, use either Nylotron [nylon impregnated with molybdenum disulfide lube ] or phosphor bronze. These are available somewhere. Otherwise make your own.
