Source for Rather Thick 1084

Howdy,

I am looking for 5/16" or 11/32" thick 1084 flat stock. Width also needs to be somewhere between 1.25" and 1.5".

Admiral doesn't have 1084 in these thicknesses. Does anybody know of another steel supplier that might sell 1084 in these dimensions?

try the local Auto suspension shop. Mine gets 5160 and 1084 in bar stock. just be sure you tell them you want raw stock!!! Thickness is from .187-.125

I am also looking for 5/16 1084 but in 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 widths. Admiral told me last Thurs. that the only thing they have that is close is 1080 in plate form that they will shear to the widths I need. I don't have the prices quoted with me but 10' of the stuff was pretty expensive. I am still looking and will drop a line if I locate anything.
