I am looking for a source for aluminum screw or binding posts (aka sex bolts, post barrels or Chicago nuts, etc).
I know I can purchase posts and screws together at various places, but I would like a source for just the female parts or posts, no screws.
I prefer to use a different screw than those that come with them, and I am tired of throwing the screws away that come with them. There has to be a source for small lots of just the posts.
I have found a local source here, Fastenal, but I have to purchase them in quantity of 100, and they run $30 a package, which is over twice what I can purchase the posts and screws together from binding supply places.
Anyone have a source they would like to share?
Seems like I can either pay more for less:thumbdn:, or continue to generate un-wanted waste:thumbdn: (until I get enough and then I can take to the scarp yard
