source for smaller pieces of leather?

Does anyone know of sources for smaller pieces of leather for sheaths? Does anyone actually sell by the square foot instead just pricing it that way?

I have found some on amazon but seems way too thin.
 
Thanks ed. there is one near me but all I can find on the website is like full sides and such. Do the actual locations sell smaller pieces?
 
They typically do. I have gotten some smaller shoulder pieces before. The last time I got roughly a 36"x36" piece. There were various sizes available.
 
The Tandy leather here has a scrap bin. A big box full of smaller pieces you can pick through and buy individually. Fun place to go.
 
I would hit up springfield leather. If you call they can get you what you want. Or order online as stated.
 
Hobby Lobby & Michaels are 2 places I've been able to find scrap leather. You get a good selection of thick & thin pieces.
