I have read about a company that sells sharpening stones and has many different ones that are triangular. They can even be used as a replacement for the Sharp Maker rods.

I have searched a lot on here and Google and have had no luck finding the store. Anyone happen to know who it is?

Thanks!

Awesome! Thank you!

What grit do you have in the Ruby and how does it perform?

I am thinking about maybe getting a 60, 150, and 320 grit and have no idea if that would be coarse and fine enough maintaining a good edge?

I have 80 and 220, when i purchased them there wasn't 60 available. I can reprofile d2 on the 80, takes a little time, probably not much if any longer then a edge pro system would take. Though I never used one so I don't know for sure.

I would say I spent about 10-15 minutes to raise a bur on my BM 710 regrinding it to 30 inclusive.

Also I believe the stones that came with the sharpmaker are around 800 for the brown and 1200 for the white. Though they dont state it anywhere I recall reading others estimating around there.

So I guess the 320 is probably going to be too course to get a decent edge on. I will have to order some and see how they do although I was going to make my own holder for them so I won't have the more fine Spyderco rods to finish on.

Did you put yours into a Sharp maker and did they fit OK?

DMT makes what looks to be a dandy. It is triangular ceramic with the points rounded. But the triangle is skewed so the circumference of each edge is different. Plus, on two flat sides they have two different diamond grits inset, the third flat side being ceramic.

Almost got it but I have a lot of diamonds and I don't have many serrations.

Seems like the DMT triangular diamond ceramic steel would be a dandy.
