Source for VANADIS 10?

Been wanting to try this steel out for a while. Does anyone know of a source for VANDIS 10 barstock in the US?

Well at least in europe I can just order it directly from böhler-uddenholm. They should have offices in the us aswell. There is a 20€ or so cutting fee if ordering smaller than the stock sheet sizes, but other than that the price per kg is still so cheap you beat out any offers from the knife supply shops

Thanks guys....still searching. The rep from BU USA told me they have a minimum order that far exceeds my needs. Just booked my hotel for BLADE this year so I will talk to the sales rep there.

Did you ever get around to using that Vanadis 8 from USAknifemaker?

Not yet, I am doing another run of blades in S110V.

So i asked from uddenholm resaler, and apparently they have stopped producing vanadis 10 and 6, its all vanadis 8 now (and some leftover stock). The price was about 50$/kg, so for a 4.56mm (.18 inch) sheet (25 inches wide) the running foot is about 340$ plus the cutting fee

Are you sure? Or local distributor did not mention that when I was asking for prices.

That's what he was saying. There is always a chance that a) he did not want to deal with me because of small order volumes or b) your distributror has bigger warehouse. Seeing how nice they have been so far im guessing its B. Because both previously and this time they offered to order the steel I wanted directly from the factory in Sweden (the warehouse in the baltics does not stock much of this stuff).

Thanks for bringing community the Z-finit and the Vanax Superclean.
I've got to say, I've been surprised by the performance of these steels.

I love how easy the Z-finit finishs

Anyways, I appreciate you guys working hard to get us the killer steels and how fast Jessica ships the steel. My Vanax order was placed on Monday and it's coming Sunday, just crazy.
