I have been trying to find a source for the YFS hex head fasteners used on a lot of knives. I know Ontario, Tops and Ranger knives use this brand. Anyone know where to purchase them?

I'm still trying to figure out how these work. I tried taking one out of my Rat-7 but I only have one allen wrench that fits, so it just spins. I'm assuming that one side is threaded female and the other is male. Or perhaps there is a threaded insert the bolts screw into.

Time to buy some tools, I'd say. I haven't taken one apart, but if there are allen hex fasteners on both sides, twoo wrenches are required. I'll bet there are two screws into a barrel on them.

Anyone have a link to the page that shows these screws, Im not exactly sure what Iam looking for here I wanna make sure I buy the right thing.

Nsaglibene, sounds like you could be referring to a chain-ring bolt. They are those male/female fasteners that bolt together the front gears (chain rings) of a bicycle. I looked through the McMaster Carr catalog but couldn't find them. I got mine in anodized black aluminum at my local bicycle store. They come in packs of 5 males/5 females. Below is a link I found from a quick google. You should be able to easily find different colors as well as titanium. Look for titanium versions on ebay. They seem a little cheaper.

You're looking for flat head socket screws. I get them from Fastenal (they have "YFS" on them)
The "secret" is the brass nut (double female) that is inserted and affixed into the tang holes. Justin of Ranger Knives gets them from Pop's knife supply, down in Georgia. They're not listed on the web site, you have to give him a call after 4 PM, and ask him for the "brass nuts". He sent me some sized in 8/32. Telephone # 706-678-5408. Explain to him exactly what you want. He's a real good guy to deal with.
