Hello all, I'm trying to lay my hands on some black paracord. So far, all I've been able to find is olive and that's at Brigade Quartermasters. If anyone can offer some others sources to try, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Hey, Johan-

Check these two sites:
The Sportsmans Guide www.sportsmansguide.com
- They have a 100 yd. spool for $14.97

Cheaper Than Dirt www.cheaperthandirt.com
- They list a 1,000 ft. spool for $34.97

SG looks like the better deal, but sometimes (not always) their 'paracord' is NOT the military 550, seven strand stuff but some cheesey nylon braid around cotton threads. You can ask about it specifically; The customer service there is usually very good.

Check them both out and get on the mailing lists. They have a lot of close-out and surplus gear, decent quality, CHEAP.

Don't buy enough to hang yourself.

MacHete, actually CheaperThanDirt is cheaper, it works out to 7 cents a foot a Sports Man Guide and 4 cents a foot at CheaperThanDirt. Thanks everyone for the info and even though I'm getting a thousand feet (more than I'll ever use in my entire life) I won't hang myself. What would happen to all the knives I have deposits on?!?!

Try US Calvary it may be pricy (I'm not sure) but I know they have it.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
