Do any of you guys or gals have any good sources, that I can check out to buy a heat treating oven?? I know cyberblade, TKS and Kovals handle some but there has to be other places where they are available.

Thanks in advance

Bill

You might try the ceramic kiln manufacturers. Paragon and L&L make great smaller kilns but I'm not sure if the smallest ones are small enough. Try Axner.com and see what they have for "test kilns." Digital controllers are available for most any kiln. I'm not sure if there's a way to save money here or not but it's worth a shot.

Paragon has several made especially for heat treating metals, some for knives especially. Have one and love it, digital temp/time controls. Its my second paragon, they are bombproof. Search for Paragon, Paragon website has a lot of info. Try several of the dealers for quotes.

I use an 18" Even Heat from TKS. It is too tall for knives and takes longer to warm up than the Paragon. The even heat works on ceramics like for dolls and bowls ect. The little wifie let me have it because she could use it too. If I were going to do just knives I would get the paragon.
