Just recently had this delivered, my first real bowie.

Vowed never to get into these, but couldn't resist...

Made by Stuart Smith and described by him as "a medium build Bowie forged from a roller bearing (52100) with nickel silver fittings and Mopane wood handle".

A smidge under 16" in overall length.

The mopane is full of character, not looking its best in my quick snaps here.

- cheers, Stu :welcoming:

Man, never say never!!! :D

THAT is a great Bowie and looks to be exceptionally well made and finished....congrats!

Beautiful Bowie Paul.
You might as well give in because it is not hard to get hooked on fighters.
Since knife laws in the UK are so easy going, you will probably be wearing this one to work.

Heheh funny guy! I can just imagine the screaming and running that would result if Paul strode down Oxford Street with that strapped to his belt... OMG its a REALLY BIG knife!!!!!! RUN!!!!! :D

Sorry Paul, just a friendly ribbing mate...

Paul, nice catch. A few years ago I promised myself never to get into Bowies and you know how many I now have !!

I think it's a pretty cool knife, I like the classic styling and the swedge works REALLY well.

But...you really need to be commended for such an excellent title for this thread. My vote for best thread title of the year.
