I sure hope you find this useful to you Alex, we have a growing association and one you may want to join. Bobby Branton is in it and has been for years, George Herron started this one years ago and you can't find enough of great talent, help on about any subject about customs you'd want to know and Pops Knives and Supplies is usually there with all his wears. Get in touch with us on that forum and we will be glad to be help to you.

Bobby, i'm about 5-10 mins south on hwy 17 from The Restaurant (seewee). so i'm just barely in Mtp. shoot me an email sometime if you like, it'd be cool to actually meet another knifemaker in person. if the email link don't work, i tend to lurk in the knifemaker section a good bit so that'd prolly be your best bet at findin me.
Cindy, sounds good, I've been checkin out the website and i'm pretty interested. I'd heard about the deal at the museum, and i'v been meanin to go see it, but it's a pretty good drive from here to there. :D

Open invitation and some makers like Geno Denning will be grinding blades, hollow grinding, Victor Odom will be doing forged steel blades, a room full of our SC boys best show and tells. It's worth the ride if you can make it.

Great job by the SC State Museum and the South Carolina Knifemakers Association. Good public turn out and good demonstrations. Bobby Branton will be co-hosting this website and was glad to have him right by our table as well! Good guy and smart. Thanks for taking a look!

It was a great little show. I think it will be one of the best small shows on the east coast in once we get the word out. The museum used to be an old cotton mill. It has beautiful wooden floors through out and it had an awesome warm feel to the whole place.

Cool More Makers in SC. I know Alex, I'm like ten minuets from him in Mt.P. I didn't realise that there were major makers near us. Cool. Good to meet ya'll.

Hello fellow South Carolinians! I've just started making knives and would love to get some insight and guidance from a well seasoned knifemaker. Does anyone know of anyone who offers apprenticeships or classes of any sort here in the palmetto state?
