I'm posting in here inquiring about 2014-2015 Events being held in the South Eastern U.S.
Looking to schedule a few trips in advance, the longer out they are the better, so if you know of anything going on during the 2014-2015-2016 calendar year regarding Forging, Knives, or Art by all means post up! So I can try to pencil it in.
I had the overwhelming privilege of taking part the Southern Blacksmith Association Conference last year and can't wait for 2015 to roll around. The event itself went off without a hitch and was truly one of the best events I'd ever attended in my entire life. I got to meet a good mix of gents from the organizations that threw the even (AFC, ABA, AAC, OBG, FABA, PSAGB) every single individual represented themselves as truly hospitable and inviting. I know there were more than couple of BF members and vendors there, so if you went post up so next year or the next event I can be prepared to say hello or support your business. I was the individual in the Gold Dodge diesel, with a bunch of anvils in the bed. That won't be the case anymore, as I missed out on too much of the fun stuff.
Also, I circulated two repaired anvils that event that I was hoping to get feedback on how they're holding up. One was a 156 pound Soderfors I traded for two anvils (one damaged); wish I had his contact info... Also I donated a 165 repaired german trenton to dausett trails, GA but I can always contact them specifically.
Well, anywho, hope to get some feedback from the community. I really the learning process and meeting interesting characters.
