South Florida get together?

Well I guess its all in the title. Id like to meet anyone willing to drive to palmdale or some other camping site that we can all agree upon and set up tent! Theres Fish eating creek camp site and its a really good place to spend a weekend. My girlfriend and I are 19 but all ages are welcome but bring your own food and some money to pitch in to pay for sites which are limited to 2 tents per site and they are $16 bucks a night. Ill be posting the same message on some other forums as well. I hope to get something together and some dates set up. That sounds like a pretty good time to me. Post the dates your looking at and I'll try to get in on it. I just got a contract gig up in Philly for late june to middle of july, but other than that I should be around.
 
I was thinking late july actually, I have this up on some other forums but nobody seems interested....I have some friends that will come as well.

My girlfriend posted this in her Halloween Horror Nights forum and I liked the way this was written a little better haha.

"So my boyfriend and I are rounding up some friends to go camping with us. He's also asking people in his knife, gun and flashlight forums if they are interesting and I decided it would be cool if I asked here. :-) We live in Fort Myers Florida, but the campsite we love to go to is in Palmdale, Fisheating Creek. We don't have dates yet for when we want to go, but are thinking late July. We're 19, and have some friends that are 18 and 20 that are coming. Any age range is more than welcome to come. Dogs are allowed as well as long as they are nice and on leashes at the campsite. The campsite is very beautiful and it has a lake to swim in and a creek that you can rent canoes or kayaks at, it's a ton of fun.

They have tent and RV sites, we do the tent sites like real campers do. ;-) Haha. Anyways, I'm not sure how much the RV sites are, but you're welcome to do those if you wish. The tent sites are around $16 a night with two tents per site. If you had a few people to share your tent, then it would be only a few bucks per person. It's well worth it. They have a little store at the front of the campgrounds that has a few supplies and food. They also sell wood, a bucket for $10. I suggest bringing the wood you can, but their wood is fine. We're going to bring any lighter wood we can find, so you're welcome to some of that as well. Just bring your own food and camping supplies (tent, sleeping bags, blankets, tarps, etc.). We have a grill, but the more grills the merrier. If you have any question as to what else to bring I'm more than happy to answer. I've been camping for around 15 years.

You can bring whoever you wish, your friends are more than welcome to join. This will be nice for me to meet some of you awesome people since I can't go to Orlando, or Universal, all the time. We're also open to working on dates if you *really* want to come, but can't get out of doing something on a certain day. We're all nice and open to meeting new people and I hope a few of you all are interested.

rmc, its a 4 hour drive to palmdale? Damn, that stinks,Id really like to meet some people here. And yea, Im a member to candlepowerforums, edcforums, flashlightforums, customgunandknifeforums and a few more. I find a lot of information very useful and just entertaining.

Yeah I'm up in gainesville. So it would be 4 hours give of take a little.
 
Are there any campsites around you or closer thats in between all of us? I like fish eating creek but Im open to a suggestion.

I'm not sure. About the only thing I can think of is the ocala national forest and that would be a good drive for yall. I'm also not a big fan of the ONA because there are a good amount of crazy ass people in it...finding bodies out there happens regularly.
 
Hmm, Im sure well all be packing protection, this is a knife forum lol. Ill check it out! Im up for a drive to see others on my forums.

It just sounded funny, I know there are forums for all kinds of things. I am on 4 knife forums, 2 kayak, 2 hiking florida, soapmaking, a couple of archery and several corvette forums.:D


For the OP, late july might work for me. I just took a contract up in Philly for 4 or 5 weeks so I may be back down here by then.
