Hey Guys..
Rick and I have been discussing putting together a Wilderness skills Get down,, down here in S. Ont...
Depending on how many people are interested and how you want to do it, would depend on where we would do it..
We have a couple of choices available to us...
#1 A Local Scout Camp, there are several different areas we can do it.
#2 a Provincial park just down the road from Ricks.. This has large Group camp sites..
Both will be slightly limited to what we can do..
No cutting of live trees.. Shelter building will be fine as long as everything is dismantled afterwards...
I'm not sure how important it is to you,, not important to me in the least..
No alcohol at the Scout Camp, however alcohol should be permitted at the Provincial park..
Trailer access and hydro available at Scout camp..
Limited trailer access at the Provincial park
Scout Camp we have about 300 acres and another 2-300 acres of Crown to roam on..
No Firearms at either camp..
If Anyone is interested,, let me know,, I'd like to get something together for May..
Travel Time from US/Canada line is 30 mins to the Scout Camp and 45-60 mins to the Provincial park..
Would like to keep it age 14 + if you are planning on bringing the young'ns
Let me know what kind of an interest there would be..
We probably have 6-10 people linen up already..
Any ideas for events,, or you you want to do a seminar/teach a skill would be Great.
