Anyone know when the Southard will be available again? Sold mine and I'm regretting it but can't find them anywhere. Hope it won't be too long!

I doubt it gets as bad as the Para. I think cost alone probably makes some people hesitate.

I think it could be a bit like the Gayle Bradley and may have a month or two shortage and then be fairly regularly available.

Spyderco, like many other manufacturers, makes their knives in batches. There will be more Southards, and there will be more para2s when it's their turn in the production cycle.

I understand. Just curious as to what makes it their turn though. Is it x amount of each knife until they rotate through them all or is it based on customer orders, actual sales from the previous run, forecasted sales etc? Obviously Taiwan only has tooling to run certain models. If we knew how many different models were produced in Taiwan it would narrow it down. Or Sal could do the honorable thing and email me the production schedule! Lol.

They seem to be sold often here so keep an eye out for one here too.

I saw some in stock at CS recently
I'm assuming new shipments will start rolling in at other places soon!
Probably after Bladeshow

I'm guessing the tooling right now is for some new models to be released this year and the Southard will be along after the batch has been run. It's also wishful thinking because I want a Domino.
