I didn't have any light colored Southard scales, and thought a white or off-white scale might eventually look sexy on an all-black Southard.

After seeing some of Keyman's Benchmade work in Juma, I'd been taken with the stuff.

Spketch hooked me up, acquiring some ivory snake Juma and producing this for me:

IMO, it looks fantastic in person. The pattern runs through the Juma and has a bit of depth to it. As usual, Steve is awesome and I love his work. :)

That ivory snake Juma compliments the Southard perfectly! It's absolutely stellar looking!!!

That is awesome. You can see the depth in pictures and it looks really neat.

I'm quite fond of it. Here is what Southards look like together:

That would look really good on one of those black Southards too.

Edit: I just read your post and realized you already said this.

Is there a black snakeskin pattern? That would look good on the black Southard.

Whoa. That juma just looks awesome! p.s. Brad Southard is actually having a mid-tech run soon... (maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this).;)

Just Dead Sexy!!! I bet that starts a conversation every time you pull it out! That didn't sound very good...........

White Juma is a really cool material, there is currently no black Juma that I'm aware of. I've got a BM 710 with similar scales, but I'll admit that I like the pattern on your scales better. The pattern does seem to differ from piece to piece a bit.

I think that the light colored scales are still a somewhat untapped market; the do produce very classy looking knives. Thankfully Juma doesn't get dirty like some of the other light scales seem to.

Fantastic!

You can almost feel the scales on the snake. :)

Wow, is that thunderstorm kevlar? I need to buy a second southard to pimp, if only I had the fundage. :(

Yessir, from the left: stabilized black palm, LSCF, maple burl, thunderstorm kevlar, ivory snake juma

lol

You've done it again, Greg. I didn't think you could get any better than the 4 you already had, but I think we've got a clear winner now. I don't know if I've ever seen a scale pattern go so well with a knife as that one.
