I had done the Brad Southard right after I got it over a year ago. It went from the tan to the Rit dye wine. Today I decided to do the Para Military w/D2 blade which had green scales. The para I only kept in the heated dye for about 10 minutes. The Southard was left in for about 1 1/2 hours when it was done. I use the same liquid that the Southard was done with. Was thinking of acid etching the SS low rider clip I made since I acid washed the Southard clip. Would be less noticeable in the pocket. Thoughts?
Thanks for looking.

Thanks,
Yes to the best of my knowledge.
Need to go from a lighter color to a darker one. Black would not work out well.
I also tried to acid wash the clip to match the Southard but being 316 SS it was not greatly affected by the acid soak. Ended up flaming the clip so it did not stand out clipped in my pocket. The blues, purples and reds change at different angles.
