I've been browsing the forum for quite some time and have learned a great deal. Now I'd like some advice/help with a new Southard that I just purchased. Everything on the knife is absolutely perfect except for one thing. The stone wash on the titanium/clip side of the blade appears to be uneven or incomplete compared to the G10 side. On the G10 side, the blade is beautifully smooth with no hint of grind lines. The titanium side is smooth as well, and the stone wash looks good, but there are still grind lines visible, which kind of distracts from the smooth stone wash finish. The lines aren't visible under the direct light in second photo below, but they are visible in pretty much all other light.
Two questions:
1. Has anyone else noticed this?
2. Am I being ridiculous? I know it obviously won't affect the function, but part of the draw of the Southard has been cosmetic. Am I expecting too much for a $200+ knife?
