You asked for it, now you got it - SECKS pics! Bear with me, there are quite a few pics. First, starting with the dinner I organized for Friday 9/6. We had a good mix of makers, purveyors, retailers, and enthusiasts that gathered to share in good food, fun, and in Rob and Jerry's case - good drinks :D

The two hulking dudes in the foreground are none other than the (infamous) Jones brothers - Barry and Phillip. Other folks at this table were Brandon McGuinness (Brandon) and his girlfriend, purveyor Michael Donato and his friend Rich Mattei, maker David Dempsey and his wife Sabrina, and Michael McLaurin (NCBlades)

This table had the majority of the NC gang, a lot of 'em are locals. We have from L to R: my good friend Mike Cross with his friend Jessica Henderson, Ben Croker (can barely see his head), Steve Ferguson (ferguson) and his wife Fredie, Jason Piekarski (Blades), and Bruce "I finally scored a custom Pikuni!!" Parris :D

Here were the folks at my table. From L to R - Gary Zweimueller (GaryZ) of Blackstocks, Inc, Australian maker Steve Filicietti, Mike O'Neil (Photographer Terrill Hoffman's friend), Filicietti's friend and fellow maker Shawn McIntyre, and my friend Patrice Rucker. Not pictured is Jerry Hossom, who probably stepped over to the bar for a smoke...

Now, this is a rough crowd! From L to R: Dave Svirsky and his wife Christie (can't see her in this pic), Steve and Olga Smith (she works at Bodycote), Glenn and Kathleen Tomey, Darrell Lewis of Bodycote, and some guy in black with a cowboy hat clutching a glass of Guinness  :D I'm glad Rob finally made it all the way over here!!

Here are a couple of Phillip Jones' swords. Very nicely done in A2 with a rayskin and wrap handle

Here's the new folder Barry Jones debuted at the show. This has to be his best one yet! BG-42 blade, ti frame, stag and damascus overlays.

Oh man, I really wanted to go to that show, but I couldn't make that drive two weeks in a row (was in Roanoke Labor Day w/e). Mebbe next time...

Chris

So, how much additional metal weight can we expect to see hanging off your frame in the next pictures?

Yeah. . .and no pic's of Dex in his infamous vest ?

Dex. . .Thanks for your continual pictoral support for us poor bastids who. . .well. . .had other business to take care of !

Dan and Gig - it's kinda hard to take a shot of yourself :D Yup, I was "Mr. Knife Vest" the whole weekend long! I had several knives on me (hey, when you go to a knife show, you gotta dress appropriately, right? LOL)

I think Dex almost doubles his petite weight when he gets the vest fully loaded!! :p :D ;)

Thanks Dex! Great pics. Wish I had been there to pick you pockets :D.

Thanks, Dex! Great pics and report!
