Plain and simple "Southern" Bowie, 10.25" blade of forged 1080, Differentially heat treated using Clay. 15" overall, Nickel Silver guard, French Cherry handle (from an antique bed in s New Orleans brothell :D ) Any how, temperline looks much more vivid in person, i will someday figure out how to photo a good temperline.

Very nice Matt - good score Randy! That certainly is a unique bit of history where the handle is concerned. Nothing like a big forged bowie to make my day!

I know hamons well enough to know that's a killer. They're just about impossible to get a good photo of.

Wood from a brothell bed??? Sounds like it's just up Morgan's Alley!!!! HAHAHA!

Awesome knife Matt :D

thanks Nick!

yeah that wood literally came from an old antique French bed that was in a NOLA brothell. You cant tell in the pics but it has some very tight curl to it, and is very tight grained, nice wood to work with. Supposedly over 200 years old.
