Southern California Bushcrafting?

So, I used to do a little bit of bushcrafting when I was growing up. Not a whole lot though. I was hoping that there might be some local people around here (Irvine CA and surrounding areas) that might be into it. I'd love to join some local groups.
 
I'm in the same boat.

My father always took me camping for long periods and none of my friends are into that, just mild hikes.

I'm about 30 minutes north of irvine.
 
I've been in the same boat since I moved out here, I haven't managed to find any organized groups that are into that sort of thing. There's a backpacking/outdoors club at UCI but from what I've been able to gather it's mostly rich kids wanting to take their fancy high-tech camping gear out for a spin. Not many people interested in proper bushcrafting. It's a shame, really.

Edit: I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread to see if anything pops up. I'd love to get my bushcraft on, though I'm really just a novice.
 
Well gentlemen, it seems as though we could start our own group now. I personally do a decent amount of hiking jn the general area. If you guys ever wann meetup and do some bushcrafting stuff let me know.
