Hey guys, I am thinking about buying a Bad Monkey, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these knives, I really like the knife, but the price is a little steep, specifically because of the cheaper steel IMO. Do any of you have anything to say about these?

One of thebest production folders available. Fantastic fit/finish, super tight tolerances, even grind lines, excellent liner lock. And the support is also top notch.

cant go wrong with a Bad Monkey.

Dont get so caught up with steel choice. There's more to a knife design than steel choice, especially with perceived vs. real life performance.

I really like mine. The carbon fiber provides an awesome in hand feel, not to mention making the knife extremely light for one of its size. The build quality is superior to my stock Emersons and is at the same price point. I'm not a steel Nazi so I can't speak on that. The blade is beautiful and extremely sharp. The Emerson wave is very well executed and lockup is super solid. My one complaint on this knife is during the break in period It was the stickiest lock I've ever owned. Now it's very smooth.

Awesome I'm glad to hear good things. The clip also bothers me because it is so short and I worry about it falling out of my pocket. I know I could replace it with a deeper emerson clip though so I guess that's not a huge issue.

I actually really like the clip now. Like you, I wasn't sure about it. After using it, it has awesome retention. I notice absolutely zero difference between it and clip twice the length. Knife carries very securely

That's good to hear. Ya when you pay $250 for something the last thing you want to do is lose it.

Check out their Fb page to see somw good videos of what goes into their knives. They are certainly one of the highest quality knives I have seen in their price range. I have found both the clip and the blade to be very well made. I've had mine since just after they came out and I can't complain.
