I forged this blade in 1997 in Mississippi, it then moved to California, back to Mississippi, to Tennessee and finally to Alabama. I found the forging in a storage container a few weeks ago and finished it out last week. Kept a real simple "straight" hamon/temperline with turn back for the hardened/sharp clip.
Kind of a "retro" style Southern Bowie, real low, keen point, no belly etc.....
W2 9 blade, 1/4 at ricasso, 14 overall. Handle is Maple with SS gaurd/pin/lanyard liner. Differential heat treat with visible temper line. Convex edge, sharp clip, and real keen point...
