I just finished this one this week. The blade is 11 1/2 inches of W2, the fittings are forged from 416 stainless. Here's a couple of progress pics and the finished knife.

Lin, I absolutely love this bowie. It will be eligible for next year's Best Bowie thread and is the first knife entered into my 2014 file.

Is this a knife for your table for Little Rock?

Man o man that is nice

Sure is a shame that it missed this years contest

Roger good on you

Absolutely superb, Lin !
Killer Bowie knife.
..and mini-WIP, great thread.
Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting work on that guard and how close the blade comes to the guard. Quite unusual and intriguing. Great looking knife all around.

Wow Lin! Talk about finish forging, that's about as close to shape as it get's!

I love the textures!

This is a fine looking piece. I usually don't care for the look of short ricassos but it works on this piece.
Very clean and well executed.:thumbup::thumbup:

Great Chuck Ward photo by the way.

Lin,
I love it!!! Great example of how you forge to shape. I like the small ricasso. Great detail pics by Mr Ward.

I agree with everyone else. I like the use of black contrasts, and the forging, and the pic. The pic does a lot to sell this one, you got your money's worth.
