Well I am getting ready for my first Knifemaker's Guild Show that will be held next weekend in Louisville, KY. I look forward to being there as an official table holder. It will be a great honor to share the room with some of the great makers from this country and other parts of the world.

I'm trying to get a knife ready for my table that will be available. A model that I have made but as I make it, it's generally different in some way from the last. This one is my Southland III. The blade is almost finished but I will show you where it's headed. It's 12 1/2 inches and pretty wide. Laddered W Damascus pattern although it's not etched in this picture. I will try to get more pics up as time draws near but a pro photo will be after the show. It's at 220 in this picture. I've about got all the fine tuning of the curves done. The choil area is quite different than what most folks are used to seeing so since it will be eyeballed a lot I want it to fit the image I have. More pictures to come after a bit. Thanks

That'll work!

Have a great show and I wish I were going, too.......

Great looking Blade Lin. Will be seeing Gil H mid month in Toronto as Mike Ruth Jr will be visiting for the show too. Maybe another year I will get back to a Guild show. Be sure to post the finished piece.

Thanks guys.

Murray, I will surely get photos up as soon as I can. Thanks. Enjoy that Toronto show.

The fittings on this knife will have forged 416 stainless fittings with ball ends. They will not be exactly but similar to the one below. Also the one I'm working on now is not a "D" guard and I plan to put stag on it.

Looking great Lin! Should be a major contender in the Bowie contest later this year.

looking forward to seeing this one finished Lin, you always do a great job when you stick stag on something. The blade pattern is fantastic too.

Another high class bowie.

Lin,
Love the blade shape of these...the ricasso area especially.
Can't wait to see the progression.
