Southwest Bowie by Harvey Dean, MS

I made it outside today and was able to capture a few semi-decent photos of my new Dean Bowie.
Coop will do it properly in a couple of weeks, but I thought you might enjoy my feeble preview.

When it arrived, I called Harvey and told him that he may have made fancier Bowies,
but that I seriously doubted that he has ever made a better one.

10"+ Ladder pattern Damascus blade, Damascus guard and ferrule. Framed Elephant Ivory handle with gold pins. 15" overall.

Beyond Beautiful
Harvey's ladder pattern is the Best I've seen.
the fit and finish is perfect..and we are not yet talking about proportions flow and feel...fancier bah! nothing is out of place each element ehances the next...just lovely..Maker and Keeper be Proud!
( I say keeper cause one can never truly posess something with a soul)

This is quite simply THE best example of Harveys Southwest Bowie I have seen. I have a carbon steel variant from Harvey and can testify to the unsurpassed fit and finish therein - When you combine that with gold, ivory and damascus of the highest order, as we see here, then you have a truely outstanding piece.
