I got lucky at the PKA show in Denver and won Best Bowie with my southwestern style bowie. I was also fortunate enough to win Best hunter/utility knife with a upsized version of my Lil' stubby Model. Here are the pics that Terrill took for me.

The blade was 10 3/4" X almost 2" wide. OAL was right at 16". The fittings were blued mild steel and the handle material was nicely figured amber colored stag. The guard was coin edged and the spacer had groove filework. The hamon had a nice turn back that allows the top clip to be fully sharpened.

The hunter was just a little little larger than my standard Lil stubby model. I the blade was 3" and the Overall length was 6". The guard and buttcap were nickel siver while the handle material was stag.

Craig, I don't think luck has anything to do with it. Those two are absolute beauties, the Bowie in particular. The Blade shape is my ffavourite of yours on the Bowie and the Stag looks incredible. Congratulations.

Congrats!!!!!!

No luck involved, just awesome work.......how 'bout pics of the 'trophies'?!? ;)

Holy schmoly - best bowie AND best hunter??!! We're not worthy! They are both terrific, but that bowie really knocks my socks off. Super sweet stag and a terrific SW blade. It's been bowie heaven here on the forums of late. Don't anybody pinch me.

Thanks guys! The steel on both knives is W-2. In person the hamon had a lot of activitey that was hard to capture in the photo.
