My Sister loves to shop at antique stores and flea markets. She loves picking up knives for me when she runs into them. This time with out even telling me she bought about 10 different knives for about $40. Among the knives are some Japan made folders with "Brass" handles. Not sure exactly what metal it is. They are souvenir/commemorative knives. Tang stamps just say Stainless Steel Japan. One has George Washington, another Abraham Lincoln and the ship is the Queen Elizabeth I. None of the blades look used, they have just a factory grind and polish.

She is a pretty cool sister.

You have a very cool sister and a nice collection of brass-handled knives. This French knife was made circa 1950s I think. I hope it is of interest.

All of the ones in the pictures have excellent half-stops and a very tight fit with no wobble. They feel pretty robust for a novelty knife.
Cool French version Smiling-Knife.

I have a few others including one from Solingen and another with no markings. I will get some pictures posted.

Have a couple of brass sided knives but they are company knives. Hope you don't mind me showing them.

Here's an old one, it was my great-grandfather's knife. Made by Kastor Bros. a long time ago.

Here is a Camillus I picked up last week. Took the picture for another thread about advertising knives.

I also have this George Washington folding brass knife and I cannot find any information on it? The only thing it says on it(like yours) is Stainless Steel Japan. The only picture I've found is this forum of The knife you have.i am interested in where it came from, the year it was made, what it was used for, etc. but really Any information you have on It would be awesome!! Thank you!!!!!!
