I bought a pair of these axes abotu 6 years ago, one a little larger than the other. These appear to be meat axes used by hunters to skin and butcher. The catalog said to compare them to Swedish axes, I think I should have bought a GransforsBruks. Maybe if I butchered more than I chopped, the blades are thin so they would be good for slicing/chopping/butchering. They have a rounded poll, some people use this round poll for skinning by hit where the hide meets the carcass while pulling the skin back, one of the blades it slighty off straight with the handle and the handle are a tad thick. they could use some sharpening, the larger one has a siberian tiger stamp in the side of the blade. both have leather edge covers with a snap. 6 years ago I think i paid 28 to 32 for the small and around 39 to 45 for the larger one plus shipping, I slept since then. They are in good shape, a touch of surface rust , minor and some stain on handle from sweat and oils in your skin. The handle are unfinished and kinda think, might want to reshape to your own preferance. I would be willing to sell or trade. Pat
