Awhile back I was asked if I could fix a knife for a forum member, I said
I didn't know that I'd have to see it. (I'm not advertising to go into knife repair) So the reason I posted it was thought it was cool in that the basic
costruction is pretty much the same as we build them today minus integral
bolsters and mill relieved liners. Mid eighties bulldog brand.

Nicely done Ken.. I'm sure the owner is very happy to have her back in service again

I have the "same" knife, 1984 i think.
did you work on the blades ? i have read about the Bulldog blades being way too soft. mine is "mint" so i won't try to work on the blades.

Roland no I didn't do anything to the blades they looked like they had a mustard patina
on them. I did Rc one of them though and it was around Rc-57, the thing is I rc-ed
both the broken spring and the good one they both came in around Rc-52. So I tweaked
the good one down to like 48-49, same for the one I made.
