Well, I guess it would be an SP6 because I don't have one yet. But honestly, I own several knives from the SP series, and aside from the obvious matter of choosing the appropriate blade size/type for a given task, I would trust any of them. It's unfortunate that the SP25 and SP19 were discontinued long ago and rarely turn up, because those are the two that I recommend.

For the purposes you listed I would actually go with the SP43, very light and fast in the hand, 5160 steel which I prefer over 1095 in a "survival type" blade.

The SP43 is easily my favorite OKC knife.

It's only fair of me to add that, prior to buying an SP25, an SP2 or the original Ontario pilot knife was my go-to choice for a general purpose fixed blade. I prefer the pommel of the original version or the SP25 in the event that I need a makeshift hammer, but the SP2 is a fine alternative for all other purposes.

I would choose for myself either the SP47 or SP49.

I have the SP47 but if I could only have one, I'd probably get the SP49.

quiet shooter,

I have a not so hidden agenda....buy them all:D
Look at the swinging watch; buy them all, buy them all....LOL

Seriously; after many years in the business... buy the one that moves you viscerally. Function first but never forget the emotional element.

Hope this helps,

On your list the SP6 not on your list if you don't mind the SP10 or the Freedom Fighter.

Let us know which you choose please.
