a while back i picked up a used mnandi in the forsale section for a great price. while i think it is a pretty neat knife i am hesitant to make it an edc due to the wood. so odd are it will never happen in my lifetime i gotta ask anyway. what happens if the woods get really messed up? would i be able to send it in and get the wood refinished or changed? of course i know there would be a fee for this.

thanks

The inlays can be replaced if necessary. I have used Box Elder, Jigged Rosewood and Bark Ivory as EDC's and have not had any issues. I should mention that I carry mine in a CRK sheath. I honestly never worry too much about the inlays, they are very durable. At least in my experience.

thanks for the info. i dont plan to use a sheath and after a brief search i found out i have the desert ironwood.

Desert Ironwood is one of the hardest woods, just slightly below Lignum Vitae on the Janka Hardness Scale. I don't own one but I am sure others will post with their experience.
How do you plan on carrying it?
